Scam 1992 - The Harshad Mehta Story Plot

In 1992, the State bank PR manager tells an editor named Sucheta Dalaal that a man named Harshad Mehta has caused a big scam costing at least five hundred crores. In 1982, Harshads family is struggling financially after his father loses his small textile business. Harshad and his brother Ashwin decide to enter the stock market and join a trading company. After learning the tricks and tactics of the stock market, Harshad and Ashwin decide to open up their own trading company named Mehta Brothers. The business fails and unfortunately, Harshad is forced to sell his company. After his fathers death, Harshad resumes working for a trading company and tactfully convinces the owners to invest in his company. Harshad manages to get his company out of the lease and resumes business with his brother. As Harshad keeps climbing the ladder, he also makes some enemies along the way who are desperate to expose Harshad as a scammer.
