Kedarnath Plot

Mansoor Khan is a Muslim porter who lives with his mother in the valley around the Kedarnath temple. The temple is considered the holiest pilgrimage for devotees of Hinduism and Mansoor loves to help the people who come for the pilgrimage. Mandakini is the youngest daughter of a Hindu priest. Her marriage has been fixed to the son of the head priest. He was meant to marry the older sister of Mandakini but instead chose her. This results in some tension between the two sisters. Mandakini is the complete opposite of her sister and doesnt want to get married to the priests son. One evening she bumps into Mansoor and soon over several meetings, they both fall in love. Meanwhile, the priests and meteorologists predict strong rain in the valley. A feeling of fear settles inside the people of the valley. Soon Mandakinis parents find out about her affair with Mansoor and all hell break loose. Since both the lovers come from different religions, communal tension emerges in the valley.
