Plot - Sanjay Singhania has a peculiar medical problem. He loses his memory every 15 minutes and goes blank except for one incident which is stuck in the core of his mind. This incident makes him sleepless, restless at times and keeps him driven to his goal. To overcome the problem of memory loss, Sanjay keeps a set of Polaroid Photo and Tattoos to keep him reminding about his goal and the necessary information for it. Sunita, a medical student comes across the case of Sanjay and tries to explore the reasons behind it. As she digs deeper, she learns about his story, the reason behind it and becomes his guide in his journey to avenge his loved one. Trivia - Ghajini has been adapted from a South Indian film, which in turn has been adapted from Christopher Nolan’s critically acclaimed movie, Memento. Both movies have the same premise, where the protagonist suffers from memory loss and hopes to find his wife’s murderer. He tries to remember necessary details using body tattoos, pictures and handwritten notes. However, while Memento is focused more on the perspective of the patient suffering from memory loss, Ghajini is a story of revenge. The narrative style of Memento is complex while Ghajini is pretty straightforward to understand.
