A Death in the Gunj Plot

Shutu is an innocent and introverted university student whose extended family is hugely toxic and self-involved. He is extremely gentle and sensitive and doesnt talk much with anyone. His shy personality leads to others making fun of him in unkind ways. Shutu travels with his extended family to an outhouse in McCluskieganj. While everyone seems to enjoy themselves, Shutu feels hugely ignored and left behind. He feels like running away since his father has just died and no one seems to care. His only friend is a young girl named Tara. As the week goes by, Shutu begins to fall into a deep, dark alley as he becomes more and more alienated. He feels enraged by how some people make fun of his innocence and sensitivity. He misses his parents and wishes to be with them instead of his extended family. Things worsen when one unfortunate night, Shutu doesnt come back home.
