There is a thing about Rahul Subramaniams comedy, he just enters the scene and he is already your best friend. With his casual overfriendly tone and terrific acting, he conjures up an atmosphere and changes it at will from talking to a house maid to a DJ playing songs in a club. He makes the overused north Indian vs south Indian extremely funny by his fresh content. This is another gem in his artwork.

Though it starts with the always funny story of a budding comedy artist in India and it is all uphill from there, with clap-worthy jokes about mangalsutra, Netaji & an aggressive hit on dumb YouTubers & Good-for-Nothing people ready to file a case on jokes, his solution Epic! The best part is that he is enjoying the show and very progressive in his style, at a point when an abortion & miscarriage joke gets awkward, he makes the audience comfortable by realizing them it is a comedy show.

The Snapchat & Instagram sensation Vicky is a bad guy, if you leave it at that, he is extremely funny with his feminist & sexist jokes. The originality and the accent of Varun makes it entertaining. There is no standup special where the comedian is so much into the act as in this one. As the struggling actor, Vicky would say You-selfs get 2 comedians in one hour, what more to expect from ma-selfs !

Azeem has some intelligent observations and good comparisons worthy of audiences claps but is not that funny. There are great punchlines but it sounds more like a cribbing session about old people, Indian bikers & teenagers on EDM. Many Mumbai references are hard to relate to and when his joke is not working out, he laughs himself expecting the audience will also laugh and this becomes too noticeable and annoying. Azeem doesnt seem to truly live up to the potential in this specific special.

If you are watching this comedy, start with an open mind and be ready to listen to gross explanations of awkward situations like sperm test and becoming a father. Apart from that, it is a funny take on being a father. Sorabh is hilarious with his impromptu jokes as he interacts with the audience and talks about Girls vs boys, the All Boys School he studied in & the evergreen Doctors & Engineers debate.

The Malhotras, a middle-aged couple consult a psychiatrist thinking that all their couple friends getting divorced will affect their married life too. Their not-so-good parenting skills, raising 3 kids, the inability of communication and quirky pet peeves make their every conversation funny. The psychiatrist adds up to the laughable element by making suggestions like asking the couple to spice up their sex life. The fun lighthearted argument over petty issues reveals amusing details about their lifestyle and family. It is an adaptation of an Israeli series La Famiglia.

Kautuks Anatomy of Awkward is an awkward collection of overacting, useless repetitive actions, lame jokes, some jokes are even copied straight from memes that you would have seen somewhere. You are better off washing a clean plate in your kitchen than what this piece. We would recommend staying away. He seems to be performing in front of college kids who will laugh at anything. Expect 2 or 3 laughs but not much from this one hour show

Shaitan Haveli aspires to be a mockery on the B-grade horror movies of the 80s. The movie revolves around a B-grade filmmaker shooting his horror film using the age-old props, stories & effects. This being a mockery of a horror show is neither funny nor haunting. The note in the beginning which advised the audience not to take the movie seriously seems to be misused and as a cover up for the poor plot, overacting & a film taken too lightly. Karan Agarwal, the writer of Laakhon Mein Ek did an excellent job there but the writing falls flat in this Shaitan Haveli.
