91st Oscar Awards – All The Winners And Popular Nominees

Yesterday, the biggest event of the cinema industry was held at Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles. Yep! We are talking about the Academy Awards; The Oscars. Throughout 2018, thousands of movies were released worldwide like Black Panther, Roma, The Favourite, Vice, Bohemian Rhapsody, and Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse. When the committee announced the nominees for the 2019 Academy Awards, numerous speculations were made for the nominated movies. Each and every speculation was put to an end on the evening 24th February 2019.

For those of you, who don’t know what Oscar Awards are, here is a quick info: It started out as a 15-minute award ceremony during a private dinner among 270 people on May 16 – 1929 in Roosevelt Hotel, California to appreciate the best movies of that year; It soon became one of the most popular, awaited and articulated events globally in the Entertainment Industry, popularly known as The Oscar Awards.

Based on a true story, ‘Green Book’ is about an African-American classical pianist who hires a working-class Italian-American bouncer as a driver for his music tour of various venues in 1960s South America. They don’t get along because of their polar attitudes and ideologies. Two people with very little in common on a road trip, interesting! But with time, they both gain perspective and respect for each other’s views and talents. There’s even a scene where Tony, the driver cum bodyguard protects Doc from a bunch of aggressive guys which shows the compassion that Tony developed for Doc.

In 1968, Neil was made the commander for Appolo 11 spaceflight which was going to be the first ever lunar landing.
