What Is Hotstar?

Hotstar is an Indian digital streaming platform launched in 2015 by Star India. Disney+ and Hotstar recently came into collaboration and renamed the streaming service to Disney+ Hotstar. It combines the content of Hotstar which has the highest subscriber count among any Indian streaming service and provides 100,000+ hours of movies and TV shows in 8 languages, Live Sports Channels & Live TV Channels with Disney movies, Pixar movies, National Geographic Channel, and Disney Plus Originals.

Hotstar Free Account

Even without any sign up on Disney+ Hotstar, you can enjoy certain features and limited content for free. While Disney+ movies and kids movies and shows won’t be available for Free account holders, new Indian Movies will be available one month later and Star serials will come the next day at 6 am.

Disney Plus Hotstar VIP Plan

Disney+ Hotstar provides a VIP plan for Rs. 399 per year, which is non-refundable, with the following stipulations: –

• Access to all content, including Hotstar Specials, Bollywood and Hollywood movies, Disney+ shows and movies, dubbed in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
• Access to movies and serials before they’re broadcasted on TV.
• American movies and shows from the Premium section not available.
• This is an advertisement-based plan, where you will receive personalized ads.
• VIP subscribers can upgrade to Premium easily by just paying the difference amount, via the “My Account” section on the Disney+ Hotstar app or website.

How to Cancel Hotstar Subscription?
